Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk on Twitter) just used Twitter in a way it has not been used before (in my knowledge).  He asked all his followers to send his wife Demi (@mrskutcher) a good morning tweet at the same time effective creating a ‘love bomb’ (or love tsumani, all names that have been thrown around for this phenomenon).  This resulted in her getting over 4000 tweets in a matter of 10 minutes (and still counting).  Ofcourse, the fact that he has over 500,000 followers made this possible.  Hats off to Ashton for a great idea. Winning two academy awards at the 2009 Oscar ceremony for the music of Slumdog Millionaire has catapulted A.R. Rahman to wordwide fame but he has been one of the most prominent figures in Indian music for many years.  Hopefulle, the internation attention he is receiving will introduce more people to the great music that he has created for many years before his recent success.

 

 

Although the song ‘Jai Ho’ he composed for Slumdog Millionaire was great, it is was far from his best.  Since his music debut in the 1992 film ‘Roja’, he has been churning out industry changing music at a consistent rate.
